So the Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal is suing the Obama administration over common core standards. Apparently, these standards violate state’s rights. According to US News and World Report which compared student’s preparation for college, Louisiana ranks 49th among the 50 states and DC. (There were several different lists, but US News explained their criteria very clearly.) So Jindal wants to ensure that Louisiana continues to have the right to produce some of the poorest performing students in the country. In other words, states rights are more important than educated students.
